Author Guideline

Journal of Pedagogical and Community Engagement (JPEACE) publishes high-quality scholarly articles reporting community service and engagement activities based on pedagogical and educational approaches. These guidelines are designed to meet the standards of nationally accredited journals (SINTA) and to support future international visibility.

 

  1. Aims and Scope

Submitted manuscripts must align with JPEACE’s focus on pedagogical and community engagement, including:

  1. Educational-based community service programs

  2. Community empowerment through pedagogical interventions

  3. Service-learning and community-based learning

  4. Literacy, numeracy, and educational outreach programs

  5. Teacher and student involvement in community development

  6. Inclusive and participatory community education

  7. Educational technology applications in community settings

  8. Sustainable and lifelong learning initiatives

  1. Types of Articles

Journal of Pedagogical and Community Engagement (JPEACE) accepts the following manuscript categories:

  1. Original Community Service Articles
    Reports of implemented community service programs including background, methods, outcomes, and impact.

  2. Best Practice Articles
    Innovative and replicable community engagement practices based on educational approaches.

  3. Conceptual / Model-Based Articles
    Conceptual frameworks or models related to pedagogical community engagement supported by field implementation.

 

Manuscript Originality and Ethics

  1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  2. Similarity index must not exceed 20% (excluding references).

  3. Authors must disclose funding sources and conflicts of interest.

  4. Activities involving community participants must apply ethical and participatory principles.

  5. JPEACE follows COPE guidelines.

Manuscript Preparation

Language
Manuscripts must be written in academic English. Authors are encouraged to use professional language editing services if necessary.

Length

  1. Community service articles: 4,000–6,000 words

  2. Conceptual / best practice articles: 3,500–5,000 words

Formatting

  1. File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

  2. Paper size: A4

  3. Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  4. Line spacing: 1.5

  5. Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides)

  6. Page numbers: bottom center

Article Structure

Manuscripts should follow this structure:

  1. Title

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (3–5)

  5. Introduction (background, community problem identification, objectives)

  6. Methods (approach, participants, activities, implementation stages)

  7. Results and Community Impact

  8. Discussion

  9. Conclusion and Sustainability Plan

  10. Acknowledgements (optional)

  11. References

Tables and Figures

  1. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.

  2. Titles placed above tables and below figures.

  3. Images minimum resolution 300 dpi.

  4. Sources must be cited if adapted.

Citation and References

  1. APA Style (7th Edition).

  2. References should prioritize recent and reputable sources.

  3. Minimum references: 20 references.
